This year has been a whirlwind to say the least but there’s one thing that is certain. Music has helped us all get through the year and the ongoing pandmeic.

Spotify has just revealed their list of top artists, singles, projects, and podcasts streamed in the year 2020. Thsi year, Latinx rapper, Bad Bunny led the list for the most streams globally and in the United States. Following him are artists including Drake, J. Balvin, Juice WRLD, and The Weeknd.

In the United States, late rapper, Juice WRLD led the pack. Following him are Drake, Lil Uzi Vert, Post Malone, and Taylor Swift. Billie Eilish lands the top spot for the most played female artist on Spotify for the second year in a row!

Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift follow behind in the seocnd and third slot. In the United States, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, Halsey, and Megan Thee Stallion were dubbed the top five artists.

This year, The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” was the most streamed song. Following him is Tone and I’s “Dance Monkey” and Roddy Rich’s “The Box.”

Bad Bunny dominated in the list of albums played globally with YHLQMDLG landing the number one spot. The Weeknd’s After Hours follows behind.

Juice WRLD’s posthumous album, Legends Never Die was the most-played in the United States. In terms of podcast, Joe Rogan’s The Joe Rogan Experience got the highest number globally while NPR News Now podcast was the most steramed podcast in the US. The Michelle Obama Podcast landed fourth and fifth for the most popular in the world and country!
