Can you tell everyone who is Chanel Scott?

My name is Chanel Scott, and I am the creator of CheMinistry, a relationship platform and author of my new book “Love at War: The Enemy Within”. Based in Atlanta, GA, CheMinistry was inspired by my inability to sustain a healthy relationship with a man. At the time of its establishment, I’d just turned 41, I was single, never having been married and I had no children. I had questions about dating, and I’d been celibate for 8 years (for me that meant no dating) and I was starting to date again. I noticed a pattern of what I now call “Dating Discouragement” prior to my 8-year period of celibacy. I would go out on a date, meet someone that I’d really like, we’d talk on the phone, and everything would be going well. Then suddenly, they’d stop calling and I didn’t know why, nothing significant would’ve happened and I wanted to understand the gap in communication.

What is CheMinistry and what motivated you to create it?

So, I created CheMinistry, a relationship platform, to bridge the gap between purpose (in other words intentionality) driven men and women who desire to progressively move their love life to the next level…by understanding that gap.

Whether you’re ‘Single’ or ‘Married,’ we’ve all had that moment when we’ve found ourselves enthralled by someone and thought maybe this person has the potential to go to the next level, and then all of a sudden, the chemistry begins to change —he stops calling, she stops texting—the relationship becomes stagnant. CheMinistry was created to help get the relationship past the place of stagnation where things become common all too soon.

Tell us about your upcoming panel “Trauma Bonding” and why this specific topic?

There are so many people out there who struggle in this area, including myself. It’s difficult nowadays, you don’t know a person’s motives or why they’ve come. You think someone has good intentions only to find out otherwise.

What would you like our views to gain from this interview?

CheMinistry is where the challenging work starts… The relationship platform was created to be a safeguard to dating, it teaches us how to have the difficult conversations when meeting new people…finding out a person’s intent early on, it teaches us how to be alert and not be blinded by what we want that we don’t see the obvious in front of us…that we don’t settle. It teaches us how to guard our hearts from the predatory spirits that lurk and look to take advantage of other people’s weaknesses.

CheMinistry invites panelists to share through experiential knowledge or expertise as it relates to the topic at hand. The panelists are represented by some of pop culture’s most prominent celebrities and influencers who possess the ability to articulate the male and female perspectives in the context of romantic relationships.

What are some of the panel discussions people can expect when attending a CheMinistry panel discussion?

The discussions are surrounding some of the more critical issues that plague romantic relationships in today’s culture, i.e., Trauma Bonding, Rejection, Childhood Trauma and Its Impact on Your Romantic Relationship, How to Build Emotional Intimacy with Your Partner…  just to name a few.
