Check out new footage of the inaugural awards ceremony.

The first-ever Carolina Fashion Awards took place in Charlotte, North Carolina, otherwise known as the “Queen City” on April 24th and the official footage has been released! With rooms filled with beautiful people in beautiful fashions, it was, indeed,  a beautiful sight to behold! There were hues of blue everywhere in keeping with the theme in response to the question for the night; “How Will You Do Blue?”. Paying respect to some of the movers and shakers in the Carolinas’ fashion and beauty world, the award ceremony began with a head-turning preshow where emerging designers and fashion entrepreneurs showcased their latest lines for the audience inside the historic Studio 229, a photography studio in uptown Charlotte with a very important back story.

Hosted by Ryan Jor El of WCCB News (Charlotte), the preshow was the delicious appetizer that prepared us for the even more delicious main course, the presentation of awards! The second half of the night’s events gave a spotlight to the nominees in categories such as Makeup Artist of the Year, Boutique of the Year, and Emerging Child Model, among many others. Host, Jacinda Jacobs took over for the awards ceremony where the winners were announced in their respective categories. Considering the requirements of the longevity of service and involvement in the fashion community, all of the nights’ nominees have proven themselves to be the creme de la creme.

The CFA ceremony was the beautiful ending to a week filled with fashion events that gave center stage to emerging designers and fashion and beauty professionals alike. Included in the long list of notable participants throughout the preceding week was Mr.Soc who hosted Urban.Street Wear Spotlight- Manifest It and Mrs. North Carolina US Continental who joined to host Boutique Chic. The Carolina Fashion Awards stood, this year, in support of The American Cancer Society for Breast Cancer.
