The first annual Give Her FlowHERS Awards Gala, honoring trailblazing women in entertainment by giving them their flowers was held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills on the night of Friday November the 11th 2022. Empowered by the Femme It Forward Mission, it commemorated exemplary female creatives and leaders who empower uplift and inspire change. As always, SHEEN was on the scene to capture it all.

Several of some of the music industry’s greatest talents graced the red carpet and stopped by to have a chat with SHEEN including Latto, Melanie Fiona, Sevyn Streeter, Brooke Valentine and more. We got some juicy tid bits from our interviews with the stars ranging from Melanie Fiona’s firm words to fellow Canadian artist Drake regarding his recent diss of several black women in his latest collaborative album with 21 Savage ‘Her Loss’, to Brooke Valentine giving us the true tea regarding exactly why Love and Hip Hop Hollywood has not yet come back to our screens. Hint: a few stubborn cast members may causing ruckus behind the scenes. Sevyn Streeter also stopped by and touched on colorism and how melanated black women not receiving the flowers they should in the industry can continue to create despite the odds against them. Watch the interviews below to get all the details from these interviews.

Also gracing the red carpet were model Jollana Lolita, who just so happens to be Rapper Kash Doll’s sister and who also gushed about how great Kash Doll’s recent Sheen Cover was, Talent manager Cierra Brooks, Violinist Mappy, Singer Joyce Wrice, Rapper Libra Jolie and event producer Yvonne McNair among others.
