With everyone still on a high note from the Essence Festival, there is still a continued celebration of Black Excellence for none other than Missy “Misdemeanor’ Elliot!

Following a slayed performance as one of Essence Festival’s headliners, Missy Elliot brought in #CancerSeason with her “Supa Dupa Fly Birthday Celebration,” at the Four Seasons in NOLA! Brands such as Essence, Coke-Zero, and Amazon Music supported the energetic presentation for the 2023 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee.

Many celebrities and close friends of the musician popped out for the event. Big industry names such as Jermaine Dupri, Jill Scott, Ari Lennox, Letoya Luckett, Charlie Mack, Roland Martin, Deon Cole, P Valley stars; Tyler Leplay, Brandee Evans, Nicco Annan, Yandy Smith, her longtime friend & business manager Mona Scott-Young and more were on the guest list!

The party decor was reminiscent of the Grammy Award winner’s aesthetic that has shined throughout her career. Attendees had the opportunity to bask in a futuresque playground, with an LED light trimmed tunnel designed with Missy’s favorite color: purple! The walls were also adorned in lifesize spreads of her latest cover with Essence Magazine.

It’s not a party with food! Guests were offered gourmet refreshments and cocktails, with the Crown Royal showcasing their Missy-inspired signature drink: The limited-edition Golden Apple Aged 23 years.  A premium bar with a D’ussé Cognac curated menu was available for party-goers to enjoy with live tunes from DJ Set by Bryan Michael Cox.

The ‘top-notch’  celebration was topped off with a toast by Champagne Armand de Brignac “Ace of Spades” to compliment a tri-layered birthday cake stacked with 3 tiers! This sweet commemoration of the influential and honorable Missy Elliot was one for the books, and definitely just as epic as she is.
