One person who is no stranger to the “level up” experience is Legend. This powerful business mogul is all about making power plays and setting the trends while at it. Recently Legend sat down with SHEEN to discuss his journey and how he plans to continue his growth in 2024.
SHEEN: There’s power in a name, so we have to ask, is Legend your given name?
LEGEND: Yes Legend Chea is my given name.
SHEEN: You’re involved in so many things. You’re a military veteran, let’s talk about that a bit. We have all heard some of the stories and the traumas. Would you say that you had experiences during your time serving the country that may have played a part in the things you do now?
LEGEND: Certainly, my military service has enriched me with enhanced character, heightened self-discipline, and a profound sense of selfless service. Returning home from various deployments instilled in me a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures, such as a comfortable bed, nourishment, and reliable transportation. Moreover, the leadership skills acquired in the military have proven invaluable, and I actively leverage my Veteran benefits to shape the facets of my present life.
SHEEN: Being a business mogul is no easy task. In fact some even say that you actually work more as a business owner. What type of businesses have you established?
LEGEND: Being a magnate in the business realm entails a formidable endeavor, demanding a substantial investment of time, energy, and unwavering dedication to elevate one’s enterprise. I have ventured into diverse domains, including real estate investments, Airbnb and Turo rentals, private exotic car rentals, and the nuanced realm of feature filmmaking.
SHEEN: Now we have actually had the pleasure of seeing your grace our television screens from time to time. Image is everything and we know that you deal a great deal in the community. With that being said, are you selective with the events that you attend and film for?
LEGEND: Certainly, I am now discerning in my choice of events, opting for those that possess inherent meaning and mutual advantage for both the host and myself. Indiscriminately attending every city event diminishes one’s social standing. Regarding films, my preferences lean towards red carpet premieres and productions aligned with my interests or featuring acquaintances within the industry.
SHEEN: Let’s dive into the philanthropy side of you since we’re discussing filing and such. What types of things have you done in the community?
LEGEND: Regarding philanthropy, the extent of involvement varies depending on the specific community in question. Having resided in Atlanta for the past two years, I have actively engaged in three notable community events. Notably, I partook in a fundraising initiative for the Shriners hospital, successfully generating over $100,000. This substantial contribution is slated for allocation to the city next year during the imperial meeting, with the aim of benefiting approximately 4000 families. Additionally, I lent my support to the Foster Foundation’s annual turkey drive and the traditional Christmas toy drive. Furthermore, beyond the local scope of Atlanta, my commitment extends to contributing to the water project in Cambodia.
SHEEN: Has there ever been a time when dealing with the community that you had a moment of not wanting to be involved because it doesn’t align with your vision or purpose?
LEGEND: In every instance of engaging with the community, I have consistently felt compelled to participate, as every action I undertake aligns with my overarching vision and purpose. The satisfaction derived from contributing back to the community is profound, especially considering my humble beginnings. Such events played a pivotal role in instilling gratitude within me for the seemingly insignificant yet invaluable aspects of life.
SHEEN: Business mogul, music producer, actor and the list goes on. How do you find the time to balance all of this?
LEGEND: Efficient time management is essential, recognizing the intrinsic value of time as a precious commodity. Cultivating exemplary organizational skills and meticulous scheduling has become imperative in my routine. Despite conscientious efforts, I still find myself diligently preparing three bags a day in advance, ensuring I am equipped for all scheduled engagements and adaptable to unforeseen alterations throughout the day. The realization that individual endeavors possess limitations prompts the acknowledgment of the necessity to delegate responsibilities. Establishing a proficient team and capable management becomes paramount in order to mitigate the workload, affording the luxury to selectively allocate time where it is most impactful.
SHEEN: What would you say is something it would surprise people to learn about you?
LEGEND: A revelation that often astonishes individuals is my proficiency in several languages, coupled with my diverse ethnic background. Beyond my eloquent articulation, I possess a melodic aptitude for singing.
SHEEN: Who’s somebody that you would like to work with that you haven’t been able to work with as of yet?
LEGEND: I aspire to collaborate with Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, and Tyler Perry in my future endeavors, as their unique talents and expertise would undoubtedly contribute to a dynamic and enriching creative process.
SHEEN: What’s up next for legend?
LEGEND: My forthcoming endeavor involves the international expansion of my ventures in real estate and filmmaking, with the aspiration of acquiring properties in every cherished destination that beckons my travels.
