The Weeknd says he’s booked and busy!
Variety has just reported that the artist has teamed up with the creator of HBO’s hit series, Euphoria, Sam Levinson. The two have joined forces for the upcoming HBO series, The Idol.
The Weeknd will executive produce and co-write the series alongisde Levinson and creative producer, Reza Fahim.
The Weeknd will also star in the series.
Variety has revealed that the show will follow a pop star who begins taking a club owner – who happens to be the leader of a cult.
The Weeknd recently took it to Instagram to share the news.
This will mark the “Starboy” artist’s first big role!
He previously guest wrote and starred in a 2020 episode of American Dad and made a cameo in Uncut Gems.
