Every day is a good day to support an organization that strives to make a change in our world. But now, more than ever brands are doing their part to protect the black community and fight against inequity and violence against blacks following the heartbreaking death of George Floyd. Nationwide protests have taken place these past weeks but what other ways are people stepping up? Beauty brands across the nation have announced that they will be making a donation to chosen organizations to pledge to donate a percentage of their profits. Here are a few beauty brands that are doing their part to fight racial injustice.

Anastasia Beverly Hills

The beauty powerhouse, Anastasia Beverly Hills has just recently pledged $1 million dollars to fight against racism. It started with their $100,00 donation to Black Lives Matter, The Innocence Project, The NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund, Black Visions Collective, and the Marshall Project.

Anastasia Beverly Hills stands in solidarity with the Black community. We are pledging 1 million dollars towards the fight against systematic racism, oppression, and injustice. This weekend, we began with a donation of $100,000 across the following organizations: Black Lives Matter, The Innocence Project, The NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund, Black Visions Collective, and The Marshall Project. We are taking the time internally to discuss new initiatives that will financially support Black owned businesses and artists in the beauty industry. When the details have been finalized, we will announce the process for submission or nomination, and we will update you monthly on recipients. We vow to remain constant and vocal supporters of equality. We vow to use our platform and our privilege to amplify the voices of marginalized groups that deserve to be heard. Thank you to our community for being a continued source of inspiration and accountability. #BlackLivesMatter

E.L.F.

E.L.F. has chosen to commit $25,000 to Color of Change – an organization that was created to design campaigns that aim to put an end to unjust practices that hold black people back. The organization also urges big corporations and the government to create a less hostile world for blacks in our communities.

Farmacy

I recently discovered the skincare brand Farmacy and I’ve been loving it so far. So I was excited to hear that the brand has chosen to start their donations off with $10,000 to Color of Change.

Glossier

Glossier donated a whopping $500,000 across Black Lives Matter, the NAACP Legal Defence & Educational Fund, the Equal Justice Initiative, the Marsha P. Johnson Institute, and We the Protestors. The brand was one of the first beauty brands to announce that they were donating to this important cause.
