It’s almost the new year, and we know that many of us are traveling and in search of fun. ATL, also known as the Black Hollywood, is a staple in our household. My older brother is a die-hard fan of Outkast and Goodie Mob. As I write this, I can hear the music blasting from his high school bedroom 20 some odd years ago. Atlanta is home to many extended family members, and it’s one of the only cities where we can surround ourselves with beautiful, successful black folk. It’s an undeniable vibe. After countless visits and a consultation with my cousins, I’ve compiled a list of things to do in the home trap of music.
1. Georgia Aquarium
2. Martin Luther King Jr Historic Site
3. National Center for Civil and Human Rights
4. Legoland
5. Atlanta History Center
6. World of Coca Cola
7. Zoo Atl
8. Ponce City Market
Out of all of the beautiful Atlanta attractions, my top recommendations would be the massive Georgia Aquarium, the educational Martin Luther King Jr. site and the new, cultural vibe that is Ponce City Market. Tell us, what’s your favorite Atlanta hotspot? Let chat – in the comments, of course.
