Most artists protest vehemently when you say they use auto-tune. Auto-tune has been vilified in the past, with a lot of people saying that artists who use it cannot sing. This is not always the case because many of the artists who use it view it as a tool that they use to enhance their voices and music. An artist can use auto-tune in many ways, with some using it to make their voices sound better and others using it to make it sound more metallic. T-pain
T-pain is perhaps the best-known example of an artist who uses auto-tune. Born in Tallahassee, Florida, he began singing in his bedroom, in time turning it into a studio with everything he needed to make his first hits. His first album, Rappa Ternt Sanga released in 2005, was not as successful as many of his later albums but was still enough to put him on the map.
The first massive song from the artist was “I’m sprung” which features his signature autotune sound that would become a hallmark of his career. T-pain has been featured singing using his real voice in live performances and although it does not sound similar to the voice he uses in his songs, it shows that he is talented enough and only uses auto-tune to enhance his voice.

Chris Brown
Although he found his voice by singing in the church and the church choir, Chris Brown has gone on to become one of the biggest and most recognizable names in hip-hop and R n B. He was discovered by Hitmission Records and later signed with Def Jam music.
His album “Chris Brown” put him on the map and is credited by many as the reason for his success. He says that his musical influences are Usher, Michael Jackson, and Marvin Gaye, and you can see all these influences in the way he sounds and dances.
If you listen to lots of songs from these featured artists, you will notice that they routinely use auto-tune in their songs. What sets them apart, though, is that they can still sing and rap very well in their natural voices.
