A first-look trailer for “TRUTH BE TOLD,” the upcoming Apple TV+ limited series starring Academy Award winner Octavia Spencer, Emmy Award winner Aaron Paul and Emmy-nominated Lizzy Caplan.
The series follows podcaster Poppy Parnell (Octavia Spencer) as she is compelled to reopen the murder case that made her a national sensation and comes face to face with Warren Cave (Aaron Paul), the man she may have mistakenly helped to put behind bars. Her investigation navigates urgent concerns about privacy, media and race.
This season Parnell investigates a new murder case that turns her whole life upside down, which causes her to lose lifelong friends and more. This season introduces new characters like Andre Royo who plays a lifelong family friend to Parnell’s father and Parnell’s lawyer.
This new season is about taking other people’s truth, so we discussed with Royo about letting people to get to know the real him outside of his many roles play in and his favorite type of characters he like to play.
“Truth Be Told” is created by Nichelle Tramble Spellman and stars Octavia Spencer, Aaron Paul, Lizzy Caplan, Elizabeth Perkins, Michael Beach, Mekhi Phifer, Tracie Thoms, Haneefah Wood and Ron Cephas Jones.
