Spring is here, it’s time to renew and refresh! If you’re like most Americans, you’ll probably start decluttering and cleaning out your home soon. According to The American Cleaning Institute survey, 76% of all adults engage in spring cleaning annually and 91% of Americans engage in Spring Cleaning at least every 2-3 years.

The phase “spring cleaning” is used metaphorically for any kind of heavy-duty cleansing-including emotional aspects of a relationship. Dating coach and author of The Science of Attracting Love, Shay Levister, suggests waiting at least three months after a minor break up, six months after a major break up, and one year after a divorce before starting a new relationship. Once you’ve allowed yourself time to heal, here are four ways Levister recommends to move towards a healthy new relationship.
