One Music Fest is always iconic. The artists always bring their A game, and the fans are always hyped to see it. But this year ‘s festival, held in Piedmont Park in Atlanta Georgia was one of the best concerts of all time! 12 hours, two days, and over 20 artists filled Midtown with tens of thousands of fans from all over. Artists like Coco Jones, Bryson Tiller, Tink, Kodak Black, and so many others tackled the first day. The first night? My God! Lil Kim showed out in proper fashion, Megan Thee Stallion twerked like never before, and even brought fans on stage to party with her. I couldn’t make my way all the way to the front to join them but baby, I would’ve been right there! But who do you trust to be the ultimate closer? Even if you don’t know, you know! Janet Jackson. Yes, the one, the only graced us with her presence to do a nonstop, mic on, performance of a lifetime.

That should’ve been enough to keep everyone, satisfied and ears ringing for the foreseeable future, but that was just day one! Day two talk about iconic! Durand, Bernarr, Smino, The Dream, Chief Keef and so many others did what needed to be done. The vibes around the park. The second day was slightly different than the first. Maybe it was because everyone knew it would be over before we knew it, but there was so much peace and love that second day. That was the perfect precursor to the beautiful Tim’s serenading the audience with a slow ballad as she opened her performance. The Park with silent or softly singing along, watching her in awe. She was highly emotional, which made for an even more impactful performance. Then, it was time for the final show over the weekend; Kendrick. Yes, K. Dot gave an explosive performance, rapping his greatest hits back-to-back. The entire festival was truly one for the culture. And in the words of Kendrick Lamar, “we gon be all right “!
