Individuals are out here soaring and thriving during some of the darkest days in the history of our nation! Yet, some people still don’t possess a “give up” spirit. They understand the assignment! Because there is no glory in the quit! From business to ministry, to philanthropy, even to media- we have some people from all over the country who are true definitions of champions! They have what it takes. They are showing up unapologetically and walking in their purpose. Here are people that you definitely want to be on the lookout for in 2022!
Dr. Jessica Reese
Jessica Reese burst out of her cocoon, emerging with her own beauty brand, The Pynk Butterfly. She has developed her line of products with her beauty brand, employed over 50 beauty professionals, and franchised her brand to 2 other aspiring salon owners. However, we can’t go without saying, Jessica opened the first of 5 salons upon completing her cosmetology license in Columbia, SC.
Jessica seeks to impact the industry locally, but she has made waves internationally by facilitating business and hands-on training on the continent of Africa. From styling celebrities to being on set for photoshoots and movies, Jessica hopes to leave a mark and inspire others to “Dare to Fly.”

Taquoya Porter
Taquoya Porter has been saved since she was seven years old. Since she was 16 years old, she has been serving young people as a Sunday School teacher, leading youth Bible classes and then as Youth Pastor of Turning Point, where she is responsible for the programming and spiritual well-being of about 150+ young people. Taquoya impacts even more children as Co-Director of TM Youth Camp and founder of TM Children’s Camp. In addition, she has traveled around the globe preaching and serving others through medical clinics and food distribution. She also coordinates numerous efforts to evangelize and support her local community in her home city.
She founded the PRESS (Prayer Reaches Every Single Situation) Movement, which has been used to establish PRESS clubs throughout the country. Over 20,000 people follow the PRESS movement online, and hundreds have participated in the clubs yet, it’s just getting started.
Personally, she is blessed to be a mother of three and a wife of 20 years.
