Bantucola, a directory for black businesses of the gulf coast, is holding its 2nd Annual Black Business Weekend at Pensacola’s only black beauty retailer, JoJo’s Beauty Supply.
“The Black Business Weekend is all about us being practitioners of what we preach, which is supporting the Black community and building its economic capacity,” Bantucola founder Chris Hendricks said in a press release. The goal is to have 1,000 people spend at least $20 with black businesses.
The community celebration will take place from Feb 4 – Feb 5, 2022. The eventful weekend includes a poetry slam, beauty and barber competitions, games, prizes and more.
